  Coming from a non-denominational church background Venture is a different kind of experience. The music is usually good, but sometimes I miss worship where the band wasn't played so loud you can't hear your own singing. Good opportunities for small group interactions and multiple service times as well as webcast services if you are out of town and don't want to miss a sermon in a series.

  I've never like big churches but was made welcome right away. My 2 year old grandson recognized where he was on his second visit and was literally pulling us as fast as he could to go to children's church. Of course he did not want to leave!
  They had actual police officers at the children's classes. So we felt secure in leaving him.
  After getting drinks at the snack area we enter the sanctuary which was dimly lit, something i liked because you didn't feel like a bug under a microsc.
  I really liked the pastor! He was both funny and to the point.
  Tomorrow is Sunday so yes Im excited about going!

  My family and I first attended services here on April 21st, 2017. We were looking for a "Church home" and that's exactly what we stepped into. From the moment we walked into the doors, we were greeted and welcomed. Pastor Jeff walked up and introduced himself and told us he was happy to see us there. Our children love coming every Sunday. They look forward to it throughout the week. Even Natalee, our 2 year old, felt at peace her very first time attending Preschool Sunday School classes. Each Sunday, it seems as though the message that day, hits the nail right on the head as to what we are facing/dealing with that week. I thank God for all of the staff members. I find myself leaving every Sunday, wishing we could have services everyday! Very happy and highly recommend The Venture to anyone and everyone.

  My family and I have been a part of this community since it was downtown and called First Baptist Hattiesburg. Very proud of its impact in our city and surrounding areas.
